Yin Yoga
This practice is the balance to your busy yang life. In our Yin Yoga classes we relax the muscles and exercise our joints, connective tissues, ligaments and bones. We hold poses for 3- 5 minutes, which can be challenging for the mind and body. The purpose of these long stagnant holds is to create space in the body to allow hydration, energy, blood to flow freely. Yin Yoga can uncoil knots and relieve stress held in the body. Men's Yin Yoga This yin class was created for all the blokes griping about tight hamstrings and sore lower backs. This class is for the gym fanatics but also those that sit at a desk most of the day. Yin yoga calms and balances the mind and body, reduces stress and anxiety, increases circulation, improves flexibility, releases fascia and improves joint mobility. This class is the balance to your Yang life and is beneficial to anyone willing to give it a go. Mat Pilates Mat Pilates is a classic practise to build strength whilst helping prevent injury, reduce chronic pain, practice controlled breathing, develop core strength, balance, and flexibility. We base our classes on Joseph Pilates traditional exercises, which are performed slowly and deliberately, with control. Mat pilates is safe during pregnancy and open to beginners. These classes are 45 minutes and are precise movements that work on the legs, hips, abdomen, and back muscles giving you a complete body fix. Pre/postnatal Classes Prenatal and postnatal students are welcome to all regular classes, however if you are interested in classes tailored specifically to pre- or postnatal care please contact us for more details. New group classes can be created for mothers groups or friends. Private Classes If you are visiting the Coast for a holiday and would like a private practice, we are happy to organise this for you. We also offer classes for hens parties and Women's (and Men's) weekends. Please contact us if you are interested. |
